5th grade wrap-up
I think that I did well learning the math this year. I was a little rusty in the beginning, and I think that it was because of the summer, but I think I got back on track. I think that I'm am pretty good at the following:
  • multiplying and dividing
  • converting fractions and mixed fractions
  • adding and subtracting mixed numbers
  • positive and negative numbers
  • pan balance problems
I probably could work on:
  • converting fractions to decimals to percents
  • finding area and volume

  • Measure sections of a circle graph
  • Make a circle graph from data
  • Make a stem and leaf plot
  • Add and subtract fractions with like denominators
  • Convert between fractions, decimals, and percents
Things I need to work on
  • Order and compare fractions
  • Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators

Things I can teach someone else
  • Identify and define right, acute, obtuse angles
  • Identify equilateral, isosceles, scalene triangles
  • Write open number sentences for story problems
  • Explain and create tessellation

Things I can do in class
  • Determine what to do with a remainder in a word problem
  • Divide with 1 or 2-digit divisors
  • Round numbers to the whole numbers, various places including tenths
  • Find he missing angle of a triangle without using a protractor
  • Use a map with a scale to find out real distance

Things I need to work on
  • Measure angles within 2 degrees or exact value
